STEWARDS OF SANCTUARY ANIMALS

PREVIEW | ANIMALS’ ALLIES

Growing up in the province, Jayson Ibanez grew attached to animals, caring for them at home and watching them in the wild. That curiosity and wonder for the animal world would then turn into his lifetime passion as chief scientist for the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF). PEF is a non-profit, conservation NGO that helps keep the “critically endangered” Philippine Eagle from going extinct. Apart from research, public education, and communitybased programs to protect each eagle pair and their single young, PEF also cares for sick and injured eagles, and breeds captive eagles at its facility in Davao City.
