SLIVER OF HOPE

INCHORDATE

I’ve made it a point now whenever I pass by a bush or shrub to inspect the flowers (if they’re the appropriate color) and see if I can find more Crab Spiders. So far, I’ve had no luck. Initially, I was frustrated and just a little bit sad. Maybe they are really almost all gone? Unable to adapt to the loss of their natural habitat? But then, I remembered that these are creatures that make a living out of being difficult to spot. So, I can only hope that those eight-legged masters of camouflage are still around, lurking just out of sight, waiting for their next meal.
