Here are a few tips for you to make the most of your plant hobby.

LEARN HOW TO CUT PLANTS

I cut my plants in 5-6 inches because this helps retain healthy stems and leaves.

USE THE RIGHT LIGHT SOURCE

Natural lighting provides better health and color for the plants compared to artificial lighting based on my experience.

USE SPONGE FILTER

I use sponge filters as they really keep the water clean. Plants need carbon dioxide, but I do not have any problems with using aeration in my setup.

USE A TURKEY BASTER

This is a handy tool that has many uses. One main function is to pick up bottom dirt debris. I do this once or twice a day for five minutes to keep the pond floors clean.
