These plants need to be pruned more often than any other aquarium plant.

Ideally, you can prune by trimming the top two inches, as long as it is no more than 50% of the plant’s existing length. I have tried cutting them to more than 5 inches and had nice results.

To propagate, place cut stems in an inch of substrate.
