Cold weather to prevail

The northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan”, will continue to bring cold weather and light rains in Luzon and Visayas, while the shear line, also called the tail-end of frontal system, may bring rains across Mindanao, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday.

Residents of eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, northern Mindanao, and Davao region were likewise warned against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains that the shear line may bring.

Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, and Quezon may experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
