SCARILY ORGANIZED

Ants, in general, have existed in well-organized, hierarchical societies for tens of millions of years. Various species engage in agricultural activities, such as livestock herding and cultivating plants for food.

On the “dark side” of the spectrum, they engage in large-scale warfare, invade enemy territory, and utilize slave labor. Each member of an Ant colony operates and fulfills its assigned role as surely as a healthy cell does in a living organism, unselfishly performing tasks without the slightest regard as to individual wellbeing, with only the welfare and security of its group in mind.

Sometimes, I can’t help but wonder if we humans would be better off emulating Ant society in certain ways.
