NAGKAMPEON si Jeremy Marticio, Grade 9 student ng Pulo National High School sa Cabuyao City, Laguna, sa katatapos na 2021 Marinduque National Age Group Chess Championships Southern Tagalog qualifying leg nitong weekend sa tornelo.com. Ang 15-year-old na si Marticio na suportado ang kanyang kampanya nina Mayor Mel Gecolea, Sports Director of Cabuyao City Mr.Jerome Paul Lualhati at PECA president /Laguna Heroes Coach/Team Co-Owner Dr. Fred Paez ay nakaipon ng 5.5 points mula five wins, one draw at one loss sa seven outings, kaparehas ng naitala nina John Dave Lavandero at Hyo Seong Kim para maghari sa Boys Under 16 division, sa 2-day event (March 27 to 28, 2021), cohost at co-sponsored nina Marinduque Board Member Engr. John Pelaez at Engr. Verlie Quindoza, na inorganisa ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines sa magiting na pamumuno ni Chairman/President Prospero “Butch” Pichay Jr. Nakamit ni Marticio ang titulo dahil sa mas mataas na tie break 30.5 points kontra sa runner-up place Lavandero na may 28.5 points at third placer Hyo na may 28.5 points. Kabilang sa mga tinalo ni Marticio ay sina Jacob Del Rosario sa first round, Kenneth Sibulangcal sa second round, Phil Martin Casiguran sa fourth round, Allan Gabriel Hilario sa fifth round at John Lance Valencia sa seventh at final round. Natamo niya pagkatalo kay John Dave Lavandero sa third round at tabla kay Zeus Alexis Paglinawan sa sixth round.
