By KRISTEL SATUMBAGA

Creamline and Choco Mucho try to protect their pristine records when they battle separate rivals today in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the PVC Socio-Civic & Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

The Cool Smashers gun for their sixth win in a row when they clash with the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at 7 p.m., while the Flying Titans seek their fifth straight triumph in their 1 p.m. tussle with the BaliPure Water Defenders.

Creamline steamrolled BaliPure, 25-12, 25-3, 25-15, Wednesday, July 28 to retake the solo lead at 5-0 while Choco Mucho posted win No. 4 by dumping Cignal HD, 26-24, 25-12, 25-17, Tuesday.

Against Creamline, Chery Tiggo aims to bounce back from a 20-25, 12-25, 2624, 25-21, 10-15 loss to the Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors Wednesday that sent them slipping to fourth spot with a 3-2 mark.

Creamline skipper Alyssa Valdez said she’s looking forward to former teammate

Jaja Santiago.

“It’s been a while since we played,” said Valdez of Santiago, a former teammate in both the national team and PLDT Home several years back.

“It’s just nice to see the growth of Jaja as a player and as a leader on the court and I’m looking forward to our game, it's very exciting.”
