Juvic off to good start with 66

Juvic Pagunsan had an impressive Olympic debut after he carded a five-under par 66 in the opening round of men’s golf in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics yesterday at the Kasumigaseki Country Club in Saitama, Japan.
Pagunsan, the 50th qualified player under the International Golf Federation, finished three shots behind leader Sepp Straka of Austria with a 63 as golf made its second stint in the Olympics after its return during the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The oldest among this year’s Filipino Olympians started his day well with a birdie on the first hole, before adding five more on the Nos. 6, 8, 11, 13 and 16.
