LOLA, 98, JOINS DAUGHTER, 61, IN GETTING COVID-19 VACCINE
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – One of this city’s oldest coronavirus disease (COVID-19) recipients got inoculated Tuesday along with her daughter, herself a senior citizen.
Baldomera Udasco, 98, was with her daughter Emercita, 61, when they availed of the city’s vaccination program at the SM Downtown Premier inoculation site here.
Emercita said she and her five siblings also managed to get the vaccine shots, adding it was important to be protected from the severe effects caused by the virus.
“Even today, she still has a sharp memory, and we are thankful we were given a chance to get vaccinated,” she said of her nonagenarian mother, who also urged the public to get vaccinated.
The local government started the inoculation for seniors on April 29, after inoculating all local medical workers.
