Gilas too much for Jordan-B

Gilas Pilipinas warmed up for a pair of big matches a er cruising past Jordan-B, 90-63, Wednesday, July 28 in the King Abduillah Cup at the Prince Hamza Hall in Amman, Jordan.

Dwight Ramos led the way with 21 points, three rebounds, six assists and five steals as Gilas claimed another win a er starting the tournament with a double-digit defeat to Egypt.

The Philippines’ win against Jordan’s B Team, however, is not included in the team standings. Gilas remained in fourth with a 1-1 record.

Justine Baltazar had another solid performance, scoring 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting and Jordan Heading added 11 for Gilas.

Gilas is slated to take on Tunisia Thursday, July 29 before wrapping up the eliminations against host Jordan the following day.

Tunisia split its first two matches while Jordan produced two victories out of three matches.

The top four teams in the five-team competition will advance to the semifinals.
