2 dead as truck slams into wall in Bulacan

A truck driver and his helper died a er their vehicle crashed into a brick wall of a parking area in Barangay Sta Cruz, Guiguinto, Bulacan on Tuesday.

Staff Sgt. Marven Adriano of the Guiguinto Police Station identified the victims as Elmer Atarejos Delfin, 38, driver; and Wendell Andaya Abria, 19, helper.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victims were onboard a truck (WHM-571) travelling northbound along MacArthur Highway when their vehicle had an engine brake malfunction, causing it to lose control.

The truck then slammed onto a wall of a parking area. The victims died on the spot.
