Meanwhile, Dacanay’s outdoor setup is situated at Taal Vista Hotel’s balmy garden, which overlooks the magnificent view of Taal Lake and Taal Volcano below. Both the principal and guest tables are garbed in black tablecloth, accompanied by high back chairs with a gold frame and white seat cushion. The same brass ornaments and flower arrangements featured in the indoor setup constitute the centerpiece, added with gold ornamental leaves strewn about. White ceramic plates painted with a black floral pattern enhance the simple dinnerware, along with the same menus and table cards, courtesy of The Write Impression. For the final flourish, Dacanay added a ceiling treatment composed of rows of fairy lights strung across a wispy, black fabric. Suspended in the middle is a huge bunch of tufted pampas grass, surrounded with large light installations made of woven materials fashioned in the shape of light bulbs. To complete the look, Dacanay wrapped the canopy posts with white flowers adorned with pampas grass, giving cohesion to the overall design. The first set starts with ovenfresh bread, followed by oven-roasted pumpkin soup, served with crème fraiche and herbed croutons. For the main dish, there’s Pan-seared Chicken, Carrots, Zucchini, Baby Potatoes and Lemon Caper Vin Blanc, topped off with a Vanilla Panna Cotta with Mango Coulis and Roasted Cashews for dessert. The second set features oven-fresh bread and oven-roasted tomatoes with local mozzarella, basil and reduced balsamic for starters, followed by the main dish, a Dijon-crusted Salmon, Warm Lentil and Baby Potatoes, Sherry Velouté. Lastly, there’s Ginger Crème Brulee for dessert. The sweet finale comes in the form of an elegant 3-layered wedding cake, courtesy of Audrey’s Pastries. The white cake bears a textured finish, adorned with an arrangement of dried flowers and grass in shades of white, rust orange and brown, along with sprigs of leaves and an origami on one side. Tucked away in the lush mountains of Bagac is Rancho Bernardo Luxury Villas and Resort, one of Bataan’s newest attractions. The resort is situated on a sprawling eight-hectare property that features an Arc de Triomphe-inspired entrance, private villas, curated gardens, expanding amenities and also doubles as an upscale events space. One of Rancho Bernardo’s events hall, Chateau de Gabriel, housed the luxe setup by Allen Uy and JP de Jesus, the event styling duo of Blooms 2710. 25 26 27 With its striking classical European interiors and floor-to-ceiling glass panels showcasing Mount Mariveles’ landscape below, Chateau de Gabriel is an art piece by itself. The blend of nature’s charm and opulent decor requires minimal styling, which is why Blooms 2710 kept things refined. Using a soft color palette composed of blush pink, peach, nude and gold, Blooms 2710 kept the principal table elegant by draping it in a nude tablecloth, accented with a blush pink fabric as a table runner. The accompanying gold-framed chairs with pastel pink upholstery complement the delicate vibe. For the centerpiece, four towering gold candelabras with tall LED candlesticks dominate the space, amidst bouquets of pink, peach and white roses, daisies and Gypsophilas arranged in gold brass vases, glass planters and bowls. Gold and glass candleholders, as well as gold-speckled glass votive candles add mood to the setting. Equally exquisite is the dinnerware, which features a gold and white Hermes Mosaique-inspired design, paired with matching ornate gold charger plates. The invitations feature a golden vignette design with a gilded border and are printed with gold foil and silver script, accompanied by matching white envelopes with a similar golden vignette liner and gold crest seal. The same design extends to the table cards and die-cut menus, which are placed on top of cloth napkins with vegetal embroidery. 29 A royal menu, courtesy of Rancho Bernardo, features the wedding spread, which begins with Cream of Tomato with Basil soup. For the appetizer, there’s Jamon Serrano-wrapped asparagus and tiger prawn, followed by the main dish, rib-eye steak in red wine sauce, with a side of baked potato. The sweet finale is the wedding cake, courtesy of Caking Giant. Reflecting the same exuberant, Rococo-inspired motif found all over the venue’s walls and ceiling, the cake is an imposing 7-tiered white confection, decked with gold-painted moldings of fleurettes, palmettes, vignettes and foliage. Visually appealing as well as compelling, a setting sun perfectly encapsulates vibrancy and repose, both particularly essential in these unprecedented times. Incorporating these factors into his design, Randy Lazaro created a stylishly rustic setup at Pico de Loro’s idyllic beach. Lazaro evoked a fiery and romantic sunset by using a warm palette of pink, brown, peach and coral shades throughout his design. For the ceiling treatment, Lazaro and his design team constructed a makeshift canopy composed of a wooden frame draped with coral fabric. Lights fashioned out of woven baskets hung upside down on simple rope knots and strung with amber bulbs on black wires lend a charming bucolic vibe, while clouds of suspended pampas grass with pink roses add natural texture and quirk. 35 36 The earthy vibe extends to the principal table, with its natural wooden finish stripped bare and unadorned, accompanied by gray chairs with plain white cushions. Meanwhile, the tablescape echoes the warm color scheme, featuring peach and pink roses, sprigs of eucalyptus leaves, mauve and turmeric dried flowers and grass in white geometric vases. Gold candlesticks with LED white candles round out the cozy centerpiece. For the tableware, gilded white plates painted with a pink and gold leaf abstract design are paired with pink water goblets and gold cutlery, embellished with circular woven placemats. The menus, courtesy of Print Divas, come in an elegant, asymmetric-cut paper featuring a flat print with rose gold foil lamination. The design is composed of a dainty border of handcrafted dried flowers in peach and lilac, with a matching lilac script. The rest of the stationery, including the table cards, is printed in Premium Matte Paper in Bevania, with custom-made colored envelopes. Baskets of pink and peach roses, interspersed with wispy, tufted pampas grass, eucalyptus leaves and floral wreaths, complete the reception space, as well as add flair to the cake table. In contrast to the outdoor setup, Lazaro toned down the design of the veranda reception area with a muted color palette composed of sage green, white and aqua. Situated at Pico de Loro’s Chapel, the balmy setup complements the stunning view of the Pico de Loro Cove below. Floor-length, dark sage green tablecloth covers the principal table, which is accompanied by armchairs upholstered in white. An elegant centerpiece, composed of mini glass vases filled with white Gypsophilas, adorns the table, along with matching glass candleholders and tea lights. Meanwhile, the dinnerware is reminiscent of Pico de Loro’s cerulean seascape, with aqua ceramic plates set on teal charger plates that feature a ribbed design, paired with turquoise water goblets. The same set of menus from Print Divas is placed on top of each plate, along with nondescript white table napkins. Abundant bouquets of white Gypsophilas placed at the foot of the table, as well as along one side, complete the whole look. Included in their wedding package is a four-course meal starting off with a smoked salmon tartare. Followed by roasted pumpkin and carrot with pesto. For the main course, they prepared grilled beef tenderloin with bordelaise sauce topped with bearnaise sauce and finally for the sweet ending, chocolate éclair cake with strawberry compote and fruits. Should you want to enhance your menu, they offer a grazing table with cold cuts, assorted cheese, breads and spreads. For cocktails, they have a variety of hors d’oeuvres The wedding cake, courtesy of Sugarcrest, is a three-layered confection inspired by sunsets. Using both edible and inedible decors, Camille Gabriel of Sugarcrest gave the cake a buttercream base to achieve a watercolor effect, then topped it with fresh flowers to fit the setup’s theme.
