More than 800 people received their coronavirus disease (COVID-19) booster shots during the first day of Manila’s 24-hour drive-thru booster vaccination program for four-wheel vehicles.
As of yesterday, about 854 people have received their COVID19 booster shot.
The 24-hour booster vaccination campaign was officially launched at 12 a.m. yesterday at the Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila.
“Our goal is mabawasan o mapaliit ‘yung porsyento ng may mamatay. Wala na tayong magagawa sa impeksyon, pero may magagawa tayo na maproteksyunan ang tao,” said Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso during the 24-hour campaign launch at the Quirino Grandstand.
Vaccinees are required to arrive in four-wheel vehicles and must have their vaccination card in order to receive the booster shot as part of Manila’s campaign.
Non-residents of Manila are also eligible to avail of the free booster vaccination.
